Background
Our microbiome outnumber our own cells by about 10 to one in which genome hosts different taxonomies including single-celled organisms like archaea, fungi, viruses that attack bacteria.

Objective
To figure out that the microbiome activity affects cancer development and entails biomarkers for drug discovery and metablomic interactions.

Methods
Metagenomics 16S RNA seq, LC/MS proteomics profiling, transcriptomics, metablomics, functional enrichment, and taxonomic analysis are among the many different methodologies available to understand microbiome data in different states such as healthy or disease samples.

Results and Impact
The taxonomy profiling of different microbiome species may vary from a disease to another; moreover it can differentiate between cancer subtypes.

Herein, we highlighted some omics and bioinformatics methods in the literature about microbiota profiling as well as some case studies about pregnancy screening and breast cancer sub-typing.

The pharmacomicrobiomics drug response showed a correlation with the microbiota organisms profiling and hence we propose their significance to be used as biomarkers.
